iTunes 7.7 Released, iPhone/iPod touch V2.0 Soon
Apple has just released the latest version of iTunes, which is required for the iPhone 3G, and iPhone/iPod touch firmware 2.0.
There are no major new features other than support for the new App Store for iPhone and iPod touch users. In addition, the description accompanying the software update confirms that when firmware version becomes available, there will be a free Apple designed application which will allow users to use their iPhone or iPod touch as a remote for iTunes on their Mac.
iTunes version 7.7 is available now from Apple for both Windows and Mac users.
iPhone/iPod touch firmware version 2.0 is expected to be released later today or in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
